On April 15, 2025, at Hoang Son Peace Hotel, Ninh Khanh Ward, Hoa Lu City, Ninh Binh Province, the closing event for the migratory bird conservation initiative, organized by the Center for Wildlife Conservation Action (WildAct), was successfully held. The event welcomed more than 20 participants, including local representatives, lecturers, forest protection officers, and two groups of women leaders from Kim Son District, Ninh Binh. It served as a moment to reflect on the efforts undertaken, share the results, and highlight the positive impact the project has brought to the local community over the past period. 

The event was more than a summaryit was a space to inspire and spread a spirit of conservation through a range of engaging activities. Unique communication materials such as educational flashcards, T-shirts, face masks, notebooks, fans, and drawstring backpacks featuring migratory bird imagery were presented to the guests. These items were not only symbolic but also contributed to raising awareness about conservation through approachable and creative methods. 

Attendees were particularly impressed by the art exhibition jointly curated by WildAct, Nha Nam, and several contributing artists. The vivid, emotional, and thoughtful paintings left a strong impression, receiving high praise for their artistic value and powerful conservation messages. Many participants commented that the outreach products—such as the fans, notebooks, and drawstring bags—were beautifully designed and effectively conveyed the message of bird conservation. 

Speeches delivered by Ms. Trang Nguyen, Director of WildAct, along with representatives from the Ninh Binh Provincial Forest Protection Department and lecturers from the migratory bird conservation training course, provided a comprehensive overview of the initiative’s journey. Achievements, challenges, and future potentials were discussed openly and in depth.

A program highlight was the sharing session by the two women’s groups who received funding to implement community-based initiatives for protecting migratory birds. The group representatives expressed deep gratitude to WildAct and affirmed their belief that women’s leadership at the local level can significantly contribute to conservation efforts. Through the center’s activities, they recognized their own responsibility and expressed a strong desire to spread this spirit within their communities. 

The event concluded with a symbolic signing ceremony for a migratory bird conservation pledge, enthusiastically embraced by all attendees. The pledge’s colorful, eye-catching design and meaningful message left a lasting impression, reinforcing the participantscommitment to nature conservation. 

This wrap-up conference not only marked the conclusion of an important phase but also opened a promising pathway for future initiatives aimed at protecting migratory birds in Ninh Binh—an essential region on the migration map of many rare and precious bird species.
