On February 28, 2025, WildAct participated in the mid-term review organized by Conservation Vietnam, alongside other conservation organizations, to assess the progress of key projects. This was an opportunity to reflect on achievements, discuss challenges, and explore solutions for the continued protection of Vietnam’s natural heritage.

The event brought together representatives from leading conservation organizations such as Viet Nature Conservation Centre, GreenViet, Save Vietnam’s Wildlife, and the Center for Nature Conservation and Development, along with experts and key partners. WildAct’s Law Enforcement Enhancement Project at Chư Yang Sin National Park was recognized as a crucial effort in safeguarding endangered species and maintaining forest ecosystems.

Key Achievements in the First Half of the Project

WildAct collaborated with local authorities and communities to implement impactful activities:

  • SMART Patrol Training: Training patrol teams to use SMART tools for improved conservation monitoring and data management.
  • Wildlife Rescue Training: Enhancing the skills of community patrol teams (CCT) and local residents in handling wildlife rescue situations.
  • Community-Based Patrols: Conducting monthly patrols in Chư Yang Sin National Park, dismantling hundreds of snares and destroying illegal hunting camps.
